Three recently published historical video clips of the Bill Evans Trio during a private concert at home of Ilkka Taneli Kuusisto (1933), a Finnish composer of vocal, orchestral and choral music. The trio performs successively "Emily", "Alfie" and "Nardis", with informal interviews between the tracks in a circle of friends and family. The location was Helsinki, Finland and the date perhaps in 1970, when the trio with Eddie Gomez on bass and Marty Morell on drums toured through Scandinavia. Unfortunately the videos are recently removed from YouTube, and now released as a DVD. The audiofiles of extracts of the interviews with Bill Evans you can listen here.

Bill Evans performed in Norway at the Molde Jazz Festival on August 9th, 1980 with his very last trio with Marc Johnson and Joe LaBarbera. After the concert Bill Evans gave one of his last interviews. As he leaves, he tells the photographer that it is too late, he has to go. And Evans did indeed leave us on September, 15th, 1980, not even two months after this concert.
